Build the Back to the Future Time Machine
Recreate one of cinema’s most recognizable vehicles with the LEGO Speed Champions Time Machine from Back to the Future 77256.
Designed for builders ages 9 and older, this detailed 357-piece set combines the compact scale of LEGO Speed Champions with authentic features inspired by the first two Back to the Future movies.
Young builders, movie fans and nostalgic adult collectors can build the car, recreate favorite scenes and display the completed model on a desk, shelf or collectible cabinet.
Two Rebuildable Movie Configurations
The set offers two different configurations using the included pieces.
Builders can first create the version inspired by the original 1985 movie, featuring a rear lightning rod and California license plate.
The model can then be rebuilt into the flying Time Machine from Back to the Future Part II, complete with:
• Sideways wheels
• Mr. Fusion
• Orange license plate
• Flying-car styling
Only one configuration can be assembled at a time.
Authentic Interior and Exterior Details
Both versions include recognizable movie-inspired details that help bring the Time Machine to life.
The model features:
• Detailed driver cockpit
• Flux capacitor
• Time circuit calculator
• Rear air vents
• Movie-inspired license plates
• Distinctive silver-colored body
• Space for two minifigures
These details make the model suitable for both creative storytelling and display.
Marty McFly and Doc Brown Minifigures
The set includes two important Back to the Future characters:
• Marty McFly
• Doc Brown
Both minifigures can sit inside the cockpit, allowing builders to recreate time-travel adventures and memorable scenes from the movie franchise.
Built for Play and Display
Once assembled, the vehicle measures over 4 inches high, 6.5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide.
Its compact Speed Champions scale makes it easy to display on:
• Bedroom shelves
• Office desks
• Bookcases
• Gaming setups
• Movie memorabilia displays
• LEGO vehicle collections
The model can also be used for racing stories, role-play scenes and imaginative time-travel adventures.
